What’s on Locally
We are fortunate that East Preston has a lot of events going on, but how many times have you heard about something after the event and said to yourself ‘I wish I’d known about that – I would have gone along’?
The purpose of this page is to help residents find out what is going on in their locality.
The East Preston village website has a very useful link which is regularly updated with local events. To find out about events, click on http://www.eastprestonvillage.co.uk/events.php
Not all local events are listed on this website and as we hear about events that may be of interest to you, we will update this page. If you have an event you would like to publicise, please email us using the contact form on the website. The website is reviewed on a monthly basis and therefore we will require two months’ notice to allow any information to be posted to the website.
South Strand Public Conveniences – HELP NEEDED!
One of our residents has asked for attention to be drawn to a request for help to keep the public toilets, near the beach huts on South Strand, open. These public conveniences are threatened with closure due to lack of funding from the Parish Council. A group of interested parties has formed to secure pledges of funds so that the toilets can remain open. If you would like to make a donation, however small, or would like to find out more, please contact George Schlich (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Spring Walk for Christian Aid
This will take place on Sunday, May 12th, and is a 4-mile circular route from St Mary’s Church, East Preston, to the Bluebird Café at Ferring. The walk will raise money to provide the women of Sierra Leone with more accessible health centres to provide healthier pregnancies, safer childbirths and better post-natal care.
Register at St Mary’s Church, Vicarage Lane, East Preston at 2pm for a 2.15pm start.
